Michael Davis

Senior Lecturer In Vascular Science

Enthusiastic educator with a background of over 10 years' experience as a clinical scientist working in the NHS.

Biography

I have 13+ years’ experience as a clinical vascular scientist within the NHS with HCPC registration and Accredited Vascular Scientist Status with The College and Society for Clinical Vascular Science Great Britain and Ireland (CSVS). I came into vascular science through the National School of Healthcare Science Scientist Training Programme (STP).

I have a passion for training and education, leading in the delivery of training for all STP trainees in our department, and also work as a clinical skills trainer on the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening programme.

I am also a member of the CSVS Education Committee, as well as lecturing and assisting at various other CSVS study days, events and conferences.

Away from work I am a massive Rugby Union fan. I no longer play but I watch as much as possible, including my 2 sons’ mini rugby. I also enjoy, running (I have run 4 marathons including London), going to the gym, walking our dog, and reading.
