I have been working as a physiotherapist since 2007, specialising in neurological rehabilitation, especially stroke rehabilitation since 2009. I have a passion for working with people to achieve their goals and to enable them to become masters of their own condition.
Prior to working as a physiotherapist, I completed a degree in Exercise and Sports Science which gave me an excellent foundation to understand the capabilities of the human body.
I am dedicated to helping others learn about neurological conditions but also the natural ageing process, and show what we as physiotherapists can do to promote the best possible quality of life for those we work with.
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology
I teach on the BSc Physiotherapy and MSc (Pre reg) Physiotherapy programmes, providing practical as well as classroom-based learning
I have a particular interest in researching the best types of exercise to optimise the rehabilitation of neurological conditions.
