Fiona Wilyman

Lecturer in Forensic Psychology

Fiona is a lecturer in forensic psychology. As well as her role with the University, she works in private practice as a registered forensic psychologist.

Biography

Fiona is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist and Registered Forensic Psychologist Practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has worked in the field for over 20 years, in His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), in the Bermuda Department of Corrections, and has been in private practice since 2012. She has extensive experience of undertaking assessment of offenders, and provision of interventions; as well as the supervision of Forensic Psychologists in Training (FPiTs).

Fiona has a strong belief in the importance of individualised, holistic, accurate and ethical assessment to help direct effective rehabilitation, and support efforts in the reduction of re-offending.
