GTA In Criminology And Policing

Staff profile picture fallback silhouette
I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant in criminology and policing, predominantly teaching on ‘practical’ modules, creating immersive crime scene simulations. My research interests focus on the experiences of queer women in relation to music.

Biography

I first joined University of Gloucestershire in 2019 as a student, where I completed my BSc (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology. I returned in 2023 as a technician in criminology and policing, before transitioning to my current role.

I teach on a variety of modules including ‘Criminal Justice: From Crime Scene to Court, ‘Forensic Criminology’, and ‘Crime Scene Forensics’, where I teach students to put their knowledge into practice through realistic simulations. I also teach on research methods modules, focusing on the use of SPSS for data analysis. Additionally, I run a variety of outreach sessions and manage the Social Sciences TikTok account.

I am currently studying towards my MSc by Research in Sociology, where I am using playlist curation to explore queer women’s experience of music listening.
