Biography

Dom graduated from the University of Worcester in 2020 with 1st Class BSc (Hons) and academic scholarship award, after working as an ACA for West Midlands Ambulance Service during the initial COVID-19 outbreak.

Since qualifying, Dom worked as a front-line paramedic in South Birmingham and the Black Country, before eventually being promoted as an Emergency Department (ED) Paramedic based at Worcester Royal Hospital – this developmental role involved working alongside doctors and triage nurses in A+E, learning a range of additional clinical skills.

Dom has always had a passion for teaching and practice education, honed through his experience as a practice mentor and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Worcester. This led to him joining the UoG Paramedic Science team on a full-time basis in November 2023.
