I am a Senior Lecturer specialising in health and wellbeing in a global context, and Academic Course Leader for the MSc Sustainable Global Futures programme. My recent research has focused on family migration dynamics and the role of data in global development.

I convene NS5315 Global Health and NS6310 Global Ageing at undergraduate level and NS7325 Healthy Futures and Sustainable Communities and NS7326 Practical Data and Policy Evaluation Skills for Sustainable Development at postgraduate level.

Research

My research interests include migration, wellbeing, ageing, families and employment. My primary geographical focus is sub-Saharan Africa, but I have also been involved in research on European and Central Asian countries. Much of my work involves the application of advanced quantitative methods to secondary data sources, particularly longitudinal surveys.
