Aimee’s doctoral research focused on the social dynamics of farmer and land manager groups in England and Wales. She has a particular interest in the social and environmental impacts of collaborative working in rural communities and continues to support projects which align with her doctoral research.
Aimee is currently working on the Horizon Europe RUSTIK project, which aims to better understand the key functions rural areas have, and how diverse rural communities can strategically navigate contemporary transitions. Specifically, she is exploring innovative approaches to societal transformation in Monmouthshire. Aimee also works with the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise in the South West, running Climathons with rural communities to develop locally relevant climate solutions.
In addition to her research work, Aimee supports the delivery of the CCRI’s annual Winter School for postgraduate researchers.
