I’ve been part of the launch of two newspapers, no small feat in a world where print is constantly competing with digital. Over the years, I’ve had a hand in almost every section of a newspaper, and also contributed to some rather unique magazines, like Disco International (yes, a magazine about nightclubs) and Group Travel Organiser (exactly what it sounds like).
I’ve written, designed, and edited for both print and online. Just before I transitioned into academia, I was a finalist for ‘Newspaper Journalist of the Year’ two years in a row, and the magazine I edited was a finalist for ‘Magazine of the Year’ three years running at the Wales Media Awards.
