My passion in how legal education and research can act as an impetus for change within society drives my approach to teaching.
I aim to deliver participative and stimulating sessions that encourage students to challenge themselves; both with the complex theories of law and how the law operates within our society, as well as the practical skills that will enable them to go on to be successful lawyers of the future.
I teach across all level of the LLB, acting as module tutor for Contract Law at Level 4, Family Law at Level 5 and Medical Law at Level 6. I am also the tutor for the dissertation module at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supporting students with their research journeys.
My broad research interest is in the intersection between family and medical law, with a particular focus on reproductive technologies. I have a strong interest in how both domestic and international laws regulate reproduction and parenthood, as well as the comparative study of legal approaches adopted by different jurisdictions. My PhD examined the extent to which domestic laws on surrogacy guarantee the rights of the child.
