City Campus will be open for teaching from September 2025 but at this stage, it’s not quite ready to host an event. That’s why your Offer Holder Day will take place at Oxstalls Campus, also in Gloucester. This gives you a chance to get a feel for the area and explore nearby accommodation options. As part of your day, you’ll have the opportunity to tour City Campus to get a real feel for where you’ll be studying.
Tours available for Psychological Sciences, Education and Social Work courses only.
As a student with an offer for Psychological Sciences, Education or Social Work, your offer holder day will take place at Oxstalls Campus. Your course will be taught at the new City Campus though, so you’re invited to book a tour on the day to see where you’ll be based.
Tours will be bookable at the event, running from 2.30pm. If you intend to book a tour, please take a moment to read this essential information:
By train
The closest railway station is Gloucester – around 25 minutes’ walk from campus.
By bus
A short walk from the station is Gloucester city centre where you can catch the number 94 Stagecoach bus service. It stops on Cheltenham Road, opposite the campus.
Once you arrive, follow the check-in signs to the Business School. Student ambassadors will welcome you and direct you to where you need to be. We’ll send you an email closer to the time with more information.

This is your chance to see what university life is like and to have all your questions answered.
It would be useful to bring a notepad and pen, phone or laptop in case you want to make any notes. For Physical Education, Sport, Coaching and Physical Education or Sports Performance, please also bring sports kit with you for your interactive session. For Sports Performance, please ensure you bring trainers that are suitable for 3G pitches and indoor use.
Don’t worry about lunch – it’s provided for you and your guests.
Yes – you can bring up to two guests. There will be a Q&A session held for them while you’re in your course taster session.
Scheduled activities finish at 2pm or 2.15pm (depending on which course you hold an offer for), with the opportunity to view accommodation and tour the campus from 2pm onwards.
Yes, a buffet-style lunch is provided for you and your guests, along with refreshments throughout the day. If you haven’t already informed us of any dietary requirements at the point of booking, please email us at [email protected] so we can ensure you and your guests are suitably catered for.

Yes, you’ll be able to view accommodation. Rooms will be available to view both on-campus, and at our Blackfriars accommodation in Gloucester city centre until 5pm.

Located in the heart of Gloucester, Oxstalls is approximately 25 minutes’ walk from the city centre giving you easy access to the city’s bars, shops, historic docks, venues and cafés.
Next to Blackfriars accommodation is Gloucester Quays where you’ll find a vast range of restaurants with waterside views and a popular designer outlet.
The opportunity to upgrade your offer is available for all courses, except Primary Education and all Health and Social Care programmes, as these are professionally accredited courses.

Free parking is available at Park Campus. You’ll see ticket machines in each car park, but you don’t need to pay or display anything in your car on the day.
Please note that we do have accessible parking which is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
By train
The closest rail station is Cheltenham Spa – around 20 minutes’ walk.
By bus
Cheltenham has two Park and Ride facilities.

Spaces are limited at FCH, so we recommend you park at Hardwick – details below. Free parking is also available at the Prince of Wales stadium (GL50 4RN). Both options are only a five-minute walk from Francis Close Hall campus.

With Cheltenham town centre just a 5 – 10 minute walk away, you should definitely take a look. The Brewery Quarter has a great range of restaurants, lively bars and entertainment and a little further into town you’ll find specialist shops and cafés to explore.
