At the University of Gloucestershire, you’re never just a number. Instead, you’re part of a close-knit and connected community of just over 10,000 students. There will always be someone who knows you, and someone to look out for you. Whether that’s a fellow student, your lecturer, personal tutor or a member of the wider community.
“I came from a very small secondary school in northwest Kent where there were only 4 classes per year group: the fact that the class sizes at UoG were also small made me feel far more secure. I knew that I wouldn’t be just another face or a lost voice in a crowd of 100 people in a lecture theatre. The benefit of having your lecturers know you by your face really sold it for me.
The university itself being spread out across Cheltenham/Gloucester was also really appealing to me as I didn’t like how claustrophobic some universities felt being on one massive campus. The green spaces on FCH and in Pittville Park was also a selling point.”
