“I enjoy making a difference and being the difference. It doesn’t have to be the world, but 1 child, 1 family, 1 person at a time. I’m so grateful to my placement. It showed me this is what I need to be doing – it was life-changing.”

“Last summer I did an elective placement in Sri Lanka. I encountered patients with a number of tropical diseases which are rare or non-existent in the UK. The hospital only had limited resources, so it was interesting to see how they managed and continued to deliver patient care.
Now I’m back in the UK I’m able to apply the knowledge I gained to my course.”
