Financial Assistance Fund 2020/21

The University has established a Financial Assistance Fund that is open to applications from students who can demonstrate financial hardship.

Eligibility

Eligible students will:

• be enrolled on a degree or postgraduate qualification at the University of Gloucestershire.
• be a ‘Home’ or EU student (International students are not eligible to apply for the Financial Assistance Fund). EU students are expected to have made sufficient provision for their living costs before undertaking their qualification – the fund should only be used by EU students if unexpected financial difficulties arise.
• have taken out their full entitlement of Maintenance Loan in the current academic year.
• be studying on a University campus, not at a franchised college.

How to apply

The application form will be available from September 2020 (exact date to be confirmed).

• Award amounts cannot be estimated until a completed application is submitted.
• Assessments take up to 21 working days to complete, provided that all relevant information is submitted.
• Awards from the Financial Assistance Fund are means tested on each student’s personal income and expenditure and as such are not guaranteed.
