Gloucestershire is situated within Britain’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) – the Cotswolds. And recognised as one of the most rural regions of England.

Following the western edge of the Cotswold Hills, set off on the 102-mile-long Cotswolds Way National Trail, to explore the county in all its glory.

Picturesque villages, stunning woodlands and famous ancient sites, you’re sure to find inspiration on this breath taking, long distance walk.

The county has an impressive 92 hills. With Cleeve Hill in Cheltenham identified as nationally important for its rare limestone grassland habitat and ancient beechwoods with rich flora.

The Cotswolds even has a network of drystone walls equivalent in length to the Great Wall of China.
