Art and Design: Placements

Our students complete over 4,000 placements each year. With opportunities locally and globally, you’ll have plenty of hands-on experience to stand out after graduating.

All placements are subject to COVID-19 restrictions and the below are examples of past placement opportunities. There may be additional costs and the destinations are subject to change – please take a look at the course pages for more information.

Lecturer teaching students
  • Work on live briefs for creative agencies such as McCann, Bulletproof, ASOS and Terrapin Bright Green in New York.
  • Undertake placements at leading galleries such as the National Portrait Gallery, Spike Island, Arnolfini, Drawing Room and London White Cube.
  • Photograph for The Times, All Saints and Cheltenham-based fashion brand, Superdry.
  • Showcase your illustrations at events like East London Comics & Arts Festival, the London Book Fair and the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
  • Participate in workshops with organisations such as Motionhouse and 2 Faced Dance. You can also perform in real theatres, benefiting from our partnerships with Strike A Light, Roses Theatre Tewkesbury, Cheltenham Everyman Theatre and there are opportunities to perform at Move It Festival London and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
