Placement is undertaken alongside theoretical learning. There will be periods of university attendance for block teaching and skills development.
The School of Health and Social Care at University of Gloucestershire, work closely with Practice Placement Partners across Gloucestershire and neighbouring or wider associated counties to support practice-based learning placement experiences in central environments and across community services. Travel to and from placement will be required for the duration of your course.
While on placement, your ongoing development is a major focus, not just academically, but also personally and professionally. As such, all students have access to a personal tutor who can be contacted for additional support where needed. In addition, the following professional standards are threaded throughout the course to ensure that you acquire the behaviours expected of a healthcare science employee:
