Before undertaking practice placement learning you must complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) enhanced check covering both Adults & Children’s workforces and submit an occupational health review questionnaire – all students entering placement will need to be of good health and good character – to meet professional statutory regulatory body requirements.
Occupational Health clearance is required prior to attending placement, the initial questionnaire and supporting information you provide establishes your initial fitness to study and attend placement learning and helps to identify if you have any health support needs or vaccination recommendations for working in the placement environment. The university and practice partners work closely to meet any reasonable adjustment recommendations, if required.
The University of Gloucestershire has excellent student support services for further advice and guidance and includes a designated disability support service.
