Within the rapidly evolving, expanding and thriving global construction industries, the role of Construction Project Managers (CPM) is in high demand. The responsibilities of a Construction Project Manager (CPM) range from logistically leading / managing projects, including risks, through the project life-cycle to building completion and beyond. Being able to negotiate challenges, and issues such as environment, sustainability, resource, and material procurement shortfalls are integral to the role.

This professional MSc by Research adopts an active learning approach with a strong emphasis on real-world application to create a practical and professional course for international and home students alike. We promote in-classroom interaction between lecturers and students, as well as between peers, through activity, group discussion, role-play and projects. The course is designed to be inclusive, promoting integration and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds.
There is a strong emphasis on empirical research and the course culminates in an opportunity for students to complete an empirical research project that critically explores and implement theories to real-world issues. This increases a student’s knowledge and understanding and improves ability to think critically and analytically while operating in a global context.
