Emily picked education modules that let her explore outside interests such as Youth Justice and Restorative Justice

“I chose the BA Education course because of the wide range of module topics available. The opportunities throughout the course enabled me to develop the knowledge and understanding of how to apply educational practice/ theory in wider contexts.

The lecturers on the BA Education course are all very knowledgeable of the topics they teach. They brought their passion and knowledge to each lecture and shared their own experiences of working in education. Throughout the teaching process they were always supportive throughout the ups and downs that life can bring.

The option to pick modules outside the core course enabled me to explore other areas of interest such as Youth Justice and Restorative Justice, linking these topics to education. Each module provided new challenges through exploring new topics of education ranging from education policy, to contemporary issues, to education in society.

The learning from my degree has definitely been applied in the job roles undertaken since leaving university.
