Your schedule for the day is outlined below. Student ambassadors will be on-hand to help you find your way to the right session at the right time.
Check in at the Business School, where there’s complimentary refreshments for offer holders and guests.
Meet the lecturers and hear from them about the modules you’ll take and study methods and styles you’ll use. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask the course team about the course and other aspects of studying at the UoG.
Enjoy a complimentary buffet lunch, served in the refectory.

Simulation activity
Enjoy an invaluable opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice for aspiring healthcare professionals. Our interactive workshop focuses on clinical simulation and offers you a powerful glimpse into the life of a healthcare professional. You will get hands-on with our practical equipment and use essential assessment, communication, and critical decision-making skills under the guidance of our academic staff.
The workshop aims to gives you an insight into life as a student here at UoG, and encourages peer-to-peer interaction as you start to form friendships with members of your cohort.
On campus
Take an optional tour of the Oxstalls halls of residence. You’ll be shown round by a student ambassador who’ll tell you what it’s like to live on-campus and answer any questions you might have.
There will also be a selection of clubs and societies available on the day so you can find out more about student life outside of lectures.
Off campus
Blackfriars residence will be available to view until 5pm. This mix of of en-suite rooms, townhouses and self-contained studios is located in Gloucester city centre, a 25 minute walk or short drive from Oxstalls.
Our state-of-the-art Sports Arena, which caters for many different sports, will also be open to view. It’s just a short walk from the main campus.
Free shuttle bus
There will be a free bus running from 2pm on the day that will take you between Oxstalls, Blackfriars, the Sports Arena, and back. It will be running every 20 minutes, with the final bus leaving Blackfriars to return to Oxstalls at 5pm.

If you have time to spare, why not make your way into the centre of Gloucester and get a feel for this historic, vibrant city that you’ll call home.
It’s a 25 minute walk or short drive from Oxstalls and has some great options for shopping at the Quays, and plenty of places to eat and drink in Gloucester Docks.
