We are delighted to welcome BBC Religion Editor, Aleem Maqbool, to present our annual lecture.
Aleem Maqbool became the BBC Religion Editor in 2022, having previously been the BBC’s North America Correspondent. Before this he was a BBC correspondent in Pakistan, and in the Middle East.
Aleem presents Beyond Belief on BBC Radio 4. He has an interest in the religious landscape in the UK, especially among young people.
The Michael Perham University and Cathedral Lecture series is named in commemoration of Michael Perham. As well as being Bishop of Gloucester, Michael was Pro-Chancellor of University of Gloucestershire for many years, served as Chair of the University Council, and was instrumental in developing closer relationships between the University and the Diocese.
This year, the event will be held at The Chapel, at University of Gloucestershire’s Francis Close Hall Campus.
