You’ll be able to teach at secondary age, as well as primary and A Level.

Francis Close Hall

Teacher training is rooted in our history – UoG was founded as a teaching college 175 years ago.

We work closely with local lead partner schools, including Churchdown, Cleeve, Pittville, Newent and All Saints’ Academy.

You’ll gain 60 Master’s credits, so you could progress with Accreditation of Prior Learning to a UoG Master’s course afterwards or at a later date – a great way to further develop your career in education. What’s more, UoG graduates receive 15% off postgraduate tuition fees.

Change lives through education

Hear from a PGCE Secondary graduate

“This qualification has helped my career exponentially. All the lecturers of the PGCE in Secondary have so much knowledge and expertise, which is expelled through a supportive and kind demeanour.

They also encourage independent thinking while being empathetic to any gaps in learning we have.”
